Little Girl's Hairstyles -Crazy Halloween Hair!! 20-30 min

Here's some CRAZY hair for Halloween!! My daughter's school had crazy hair day yesterday, so we got a little kooky. Here's the final result:
This is what we used: Pipe cleaners! Brilliant! I wished they had brown ones to match her hair better, but the black worked nicely.
I just braided in the pipe cleaners into each separate braid, clipping off the excess at the bottom of the braid. I tucked the tip of the pipe cleaner into the elastic at the top, and bent the edge over, so it wouldn't poke her head. I used two pipe cleaners per braid in her two back bottom braids, since they were thicker.  Then of course, we added some pink spray to make it nice and sticky.
We had fun bending and twisting her braids in any direction.
This was our favorite result, twisted in curlicues.

  2. That is some sassy pink hair! Perfect for Halloween. This site is amazing and makes me remember getting my hair braided when I was little...alas...no girls in my family yet, I'm sure that my son won't let me do this to his hair!

  7. Where were you when my girls were little?? Whenever I tried to do anything different and intricate looking, my hands always got twisted up! And I used to be a hairdresser! I always wanted to do an inside out French braid and I'd get confused halfway through and end up with a regular French braid.

  8. Hi, and thanks for finding my blog today. I wanted to come say hi back, but now I feel like a really sad excuse for a mom because I (honestly) have trouble putting a single ponytail in my daughter's hair. I never wore my hair up when I was young, never braided it once, and now the result is that my kid has boring hair. It's also still barely longer than chin-length after 4.5 years and only 4 haircuts. Your kids are ADORABLE, as are the hairstyles.
